One year after starting the business, this time Alesha Mart, a popular e-commerce company with the slogan Click, Relax and Enjoy, has approached the government under the pressure of customers. The company has sent two letters to the Commerce Ministry seeking financial assistance of Tk 300 crore as working capital facility and security from the government to reimburse customers and resume operations. AHM Safiquzzaman, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce (IIT), has already informed the Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, and the Director General, Ministry of Home Affairs and Police, in writing. Earlier, on December 1, Alesha Mart closed its office for security reasons. Alesha Mart Limited Chairman Manjur Alam Sikder said on Facebook Live that some people came to their office and manhandled the officers and tried to apply force against them. That is why they have been forced to make such a decision. All official activities at Alesha Mart will be suspended until further notice due to unforeseen and security reasons. However, he will somehow settle the debt of the customers.
